Honey I Shrunk the Kids

I want you to sleep in tomorrow morning.

No, really. Take some time off, ~Contact.FirstName~. You’ve earned it.

Give yourself a break from the exhausting 10+ hour days, the daily desperate struggle for new clients and new leads, the gnawing frustration that you’re not making progress in growing your business… forget it for a few hours and grab some extra shuteye.

Or is that impossible?

If you slept in, how long would it take for your phone to start blowing up with emergencies?

How long has it been since you even thought about taking a vacation?

Here’s the hard truth: most business owners can’t take time off from their business because, if they look away for one minute, something will break. A wrong decision will cost them money. A customer will leave.

That happens because those business owners have lost command of their business. It’s become a giant rampaging toddler… and it takes all the owner’s effort to keep it on-track.

Think Rick Moranis from Honey, I Blew Up the Kid

(Curious about command? Check out this short film produced by one of the smartest people I know: https://gw555.isrefer.com/go/command-conquer/[memb_affiliate fields=AffCode]/)

And much like any Disney film, there’s a happy ending waiting here, too. If you’re not in command of your business, if it’s running you instead of the other way around, that’s a challenge you can take on.

This challenge is a dragon you can actually slay. You can step into a life of living happily ever after. It’s not a fantasy – it’s a way of living a meaningful and fulfilling life as a business owner who tackles high priority challenges each and every quarter.

Once you do, you’ll have a team that you can rely on to take on challenging work and powerfully serve your clients.

You’ll be able to embrace being the visionary of your business and paint a picture of how you want to grow… with the tactical execution to get there.

And yes, you’ll be able to sleep in without your phone vibrating itself off of your bedside table and into your nightmares.

Sound like a plan? If it does, register right now for Measurable Genius’ Command and Conquer live 3-day workshop, presented by Alexander Ford. You’ll learn…

  • How to figure out what’s truly meaningful and important to you so you can make sure you love your work and avoid burnout
  • How to implement the Rockefeller Habits; a business planning framework that over 40,000 firms have used to scale to $1 billion in annual revenue and beyond
  • How social media marketing really works and how you can build a marketing machine that reliably and consistently produces new leads for your business on the back of the only asset that matters today: your brand and your content marketing

The workshop is hosted in Calgary, Alberta, and takes place December 7-9.

Early bird pricing is still available until November 26th, so get your tickets now!

Go and get that extra rest. You don’t want to develop wrinkles, now do you?

Lead

“Lead” is a pretty funny word, isn’t it, ~Contact.FirstName~?

It can mean a soft metal…it can mean taking charge of a bunch of people…it can refer to a leash…

But to most business owners, it can mean life or death.

So many entrepreneurs have built businesses that deliver valuable, life-changing products or services. Yet, instead of being able to focus on how best to serve people, they lay awake at night wondering if they’re going to be able to afford to keep the lights on.

They try everything they can think of to talk to the market…but it’s like shouting into an empty void. No matter how many specialists they hire, or what strategies they try, nothing seems to give them any consistent results.

And this is on top of the 12 hour days and daily emergencies that come with owning a business.

But here’s the thing…not having leads is a symptom, not the underlying issue.

If you don’t have leads, you’re not in command of your business. If your business is running you instead of the other way around, you’re not in command. If you’re stuck in a rut and not growing, you’re not in command. (Want to learn more about command? Check out this short film: https://gw555.isrefer.com/go/command-conquer/[memb_affiliate fields=AffCode]/)

Command is the ability for a business owner to arrive in their office in the morning and know exactly what’s going on. It’s having full faith in all areas of your business because they produce consistent, reliable work (including leads). It’s the ability to actually take a vacation because your business isn’t wholly dependent on your babysitting.

Command is the vehicle through which you can build the business of your dreams.

And no, I’m not leading you on.

If you don’t have full command of your business, you need to sign up for Measurable Genius’ Command & Conquer live 3-day workshop. Presented by Alexander Ford, this workshop will teach you…

It’s coming up March 1-3 and taking place in Calgary, Alberta. Click here to buy tickets!

PS; You’ll never become a leading firm without solid command of your business…

Level 10

Hey ~Contact.FirstName~,

Are you ready for grown-up business planning?

I don’t mean any disrespect to systems like Traction or EOS, but those frameworks are missing some key elements.

Take those Level 10 Meetings, for example. While they provide a solid agenda for both you and your team, even EOS’ own blog admits three-quarters of those meetings are ineffective.

So yes, you can take their recommended solutions of buying every employee in your company a book or making them watch a video, or you could find a framework that works more than 25% of the time.

Take a second to check in. Has all of the time that you’ve spent learning tips and tricks like those Level 10 Meetings moved your business forward?

Or are you consistently frustrated that the great plans you bring back to your organization can’t move the needle?

If you’re in the former category, congratulations! You’re one of the lucky few.

But if you’re in the latter, I want to introduce you to the business planning framework that will really get you the consistent growth that you’ve been looking for.

(Want to learn more? Click here ->https://gw555.isrefer.com/go/command-conquer/[memb_affiliate fields=AffCode]/)

They’re called the Rockefeller Habits, and more than 40,000 firms worldwide have used them to scale their businesses to $1 billion in annual revenue and beyond.

This comprehensive framework, based on decades of research, not only produces you a tangible, workable plan but also gives you the tools to ensure that your entire team can help you put it into action.

If you’re interested in that, you need to attend Command & Conquer, a live 3-day workshop presented by Alexander Ford and the team at Measurable Genius.

At Command & Conquer, you’ll learn…

  • How to clear the emotional charges that are running your life and sabotaging your productivity
  • What the Rockefeller Habits are and how to use them to build a plan that’s guaranteed to move you forward quarter after quarter
  • How social media marketing really works and how you can build a marketing machine that reliably and consistently produces new leads for your business on the back of the only asset that matters today: your brand and your content marketing

And Command & Conquer is not just learning. You’re going to be putting together your plan in the room with dozens of other business owners who are dedicated to achieving the scale and growth that only disciplined, consistent plans can create. You’ll walk out of the workshop with your plan fully completed and knowing with certainty how to recruit your team into helping you accomplish it.

Meadow

Hey ~Contact.FirstName~,

Take a moment and imagine a flat, grassy field. A peaceful, serene meadow. The sun is shining, the sky is as blue as can be, maybe there are even a few deer in the distance. Like a postcard you might get from New Zealand.

Now imagine that field full of huge boulders. Each one, a several-ton hunk of jagged rock, two stories tall, casting deep and cold shadows onto the grass, which seems to shrivel away from these alien invaders.

Got it?

Now imagine that these boulders are what’s standing in between you and having the business of your dreams. You have to clear all of them out and return that meadow to its natural state.

Seems like a gargantuan task, right? Many business owners start trying it, but they blow up about half the rocks and then give up. What happens then?

They get stuck. They plateau. They don’t go out of business, but they don’t grow, either. They have the same year again and again and can’t figure out how to go back to busting boulders. (Sound familiar? Click this link to learn how to get out of that plateau: https://gw555.isrefer.com/go/command-conquer/[memb_affiliate fields=AffCode]/)

As their business grew, they lost command. As more and more people started running around that meadow, the ability to lead all of them slipped out of their fingers.

They – and you – can get it back. Then you can get back to work breaking those rocks and working towards having the business of your dreams.

What’s waiting for you in that clear meadow?

A business that has a steady stream of reliable leads. A business where everyone is on the same page. A business that you truly feel is a representation of what you value.

You’ll be able to accomplish all that because you’ll have a plan, built from a proven framework, that will help you take meaningful, incremental steps towards building that business.

Join demolitions expert (this is still metaphorical) Alexander Ford and the Measurable Genius team at Command & Conquer, a live 3-day workshop where you’ll take the first steps towards having the business you’ve always wanted.

At the workshop, you’ll learn…

  • How to figure out what’s truly meaningful and important to you so you can make sure you love your work and avoid burnout
  • How to implement the Rockefeller Habits; a business planning framework that over 40,000 firms have used to scale to $1 billion in annual revenue and beyond
  • How social media marketing really works and how you can build a marketing machine that reliably and consistently produces new leads for your business on the back of the only asset that matters today: your brand and your content marketing

Unless, of course, you think you can break all those rocks by yourself…

Quicksand

Hey ~Contact.FirstName~,

Are you in the business of building sand castles?

And no, I’m not talking about literally selling people sand castles…

I’m wondering if you feel like the more effort you put into your business, the faster it crumbles beneath your fingers.

You feel that quiet desperation for new leads. The constant question of “are we going to make it this month?” That gnawing frustration that you’re not doing better this quarter than you were last quarter.

And you want to get better, you really do, but the endless onslaught of day-to-day emergencies and interruptions keep you from finding a way out.

So you have to keep trying to build that castle over and over again. (For a way out, check out this link: https://gw555.isrefer.com/go/command-conquer/[memb_affiliate fields=AffCode]/)

Tons of business owners are stuck in this endless cycle of rebuilding. But they don’t have to be.

Building a business where you feel in control is possible. Building a business where you make meaningful progress towards your goals is possible. Building a business where you have a steady, reliable stream of new leads is possible.

All you need to do is regain command.

If anything in this e-mail has struck a chord with you, register now for the upcoming Command & Conquer live 3-day workshop, presented by Alexander Ford and the team at Measurable Genius.

You’ll learn…

  • How to figure out what’s truly meaningful and important to you so you can make sure you love your work and avoid burnout

Stop struggling for nothing. There’s a way out of that pit.

You’re being offered a lifeline right now.

Will you take it?

The Time Trap

Hey ~Contact.FirstName~,

I just want to take a second and share one of my favourite quotes from Alec Mackenzie’s The Time Trap.

“Choose what to do at work? Who is free to think that way?” you may ask.

You! Yes, you have not only the freedom but the duty to choose what to do at work. No matter how sincerely you want to excel at service, no matter how customer-focused your company’s policies – everyone must, sooner or later, stake out some criteria that will validate the work they are doing eight to ten hours per day.

I love this quote because it emphasizes the idea that as managers, we are the ones who must decide what happens, and we must decide it based real, tangible metrics. It forces us to look at what we’re doing and ask “is this task I’m about to accomplish going to move my business forward in a measurable way? Or am I acting based on someone else’s emotion and urgency?”

To be great leaders and great entrepreneurs, we must be doing more of the first than the second. And while following the many great lessons in The Time Trap will make you dozens of times more efficient, if those things that you’re doing aren’t of high priority, all of that extra efficiency won’t help you grow.

I know what you’re thinking: oh, if only there were some planning framework out there that would be able to give me five rocks every quarter that I know with confidence will lead to my business becoming a scaling growth firm!

Fortunately for you, such a framework exists. It’s called the Rockefeller Habits, and it’s a set of tools that more than 40,000 firms worldwide have used them to scale their businesses to $1 billion in annual revenue and beyond.

(Want to learn more? Click here -> https://gw555.isrefer.com/go/command-conquer/[memb_affiliate fields=AffCode]/)

And one of the best things to come out of that framework is what’s known as the One-Page Strategic Plan. This document, produced by you and your executive team every quarter, is a living document that lets you distill your vision as CEO into a series of real results.

From your 25-year Big Hair Audacious Goal into your 3-5 year thrusts. From those 3-5 year thrusts into one-year goals. From those one year goals into quarterly action plans.

That’s exactly how you know what to work on every day to move your business forward.

Want to get started? Well, you can buy the textbook and download all the worksheets and figure it out yourself, or you can attend a live 3-day workshop where you’ll be able to have your plan facilitated with dozens of other business owners all looking to scale their companies.

Command & Conquer is just that, and it goes way beyond simply teaching you how to fill out pieces of paper. You’ll learn…

Presented by Alexander Ford and the team at Measurable Genius, the workshop is coming up in Calgary, Alberta, June 7-9.
